:: Unusual Wagireh 'sampler rug' with asymmetric design execution bearing Herati main field, turtle Samovar main border, and unusual top end in wider format, large scale design elements, and highly ornate arabesque outer minor border. Animals, birds, and herdsman scattered throughout. Colors and shades include: Navy blue, ivory, moss green, sky blue, burgundy, pink, tomato red, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Signs of old minor touch-ups which are mostly found in the dark blue field. Three inch by five inch isolated area of isolated patches to one lower corner of the main field. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Bijar rug made in Persia circa 1895-1910 vintage. Size measures 3'11" x 5'7".
